~ Matthew 5:17-20 ~
18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

I'm no theologian, so I don't know all the ins and outs of the "Law and the Prophets," so when I read verses 17 and 18, what speaks to me the loudest, and what impresses me the most, is that in coming to do what He came to do, nothing was ever going to stop Jesus from succeeding. He had obviously settled that in His heart prior to stepping out into His "mission."
I find that inspiring.
I see Jesus' strength, power and determination, and the confidence - or the knowing that says, "This is what I have to do, and nothing will stand in my way..." and nothing does, despite the opposition and suffering that came against Him.
He stood firm. He stood His ground, and everything that came to hinder Him was eventually wiped out.
He didn't let pain, fear, circumstance, man's agenda, or obstacles stop Him.
Jesus knew what His mission was, and He let nothing get in His way... In the name of Love, He "played by the rules" and was far greater than the hypocrisy shown through the "Pharisees and teachers of the law." He knew truth and He lived it, using it, and love, to fulfil His destiny.
He was the Hero of His own story... and of ours, too.
Yep, I find that inspiring, indeed... :)
